Tadpoles
Some weeks ago member June Morrison from Helensburgh found five clumps of frog spawn in a rapidly drying-out ditch. She rescued the clumps, taking them home and distributing them in five large basins, specially bought for the purpose. They are now at the stage of needing  more food and June started putting strips of meat on sticks to encourage the growing poles  in the next stage of their growth. She also had the major problem of re-housing them and set about finding suitable ponds and/or members to help. Watch Group leader in Garelochead, Katherine Price got involved by obtaining more information on the best locations for release
