Our Mission

To advance the conservation of Scotland’s biodiversity for the benefit of present and future generations.

The SWT--Clyde Members Centre Territory MapAbout the Clyde Members Centre

The Clyde Member Centre covers the largest area of the 22 members centres in Scotland, and includes ten local authority areas.  Our territories cover almost all of the landscapes and habitats that Scotland has to offer, including forests, lochs, wetlands, plains, and mountains. Click here to see the territory that the SWT—Clyde Members Centre covers, and what you can find there!

How SWT Members Centres Work

A Members Centre is designed to bring you closer to the work and workers of the Trust and is run by a committee of volunteers.

Our Members Centre aims to update you on what is going on within your area, inform you on wildlife topics or particular species through our walks and talks programme,  and give you the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through our various workshops and teach-ins.

For those of you who would like hands-on involvement, we can offer you training and practice in recording and monitoring some of our more endangered species or engaging in friendly teamwork maintenance within some of our reserves.

We hope you will join with us in helping to advance the conservation of Scotland’s biodiversity for the benefit of present and future generations.

Membership with the SWT—Clyde Members Centre is a great way to create family memories that will last a lifetime—on a very small budget!  Your family could get outdoors and enjoy the SWT—Clyde Member Centre’s fun and activities all year for about the same cost as taking a family of four to the cinema just two times! With an SWT membership, you and your family will enjoy unlimited access to all of the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Reserves, including Falls of Clyde, Loch of the Lowes, and Montrose Basin, as well as Scotland-wide access to all SWT Events and discounts on Wildlife Week activities.  SWT Membership also gives you automatic membership to your local Members Centre.

We welcome everyone who is interested in conserving, supporting, and learning about our local wildlife and habitats to join as SWT members.  If you would like to learn more about how you can become a Member of the Scottish Wildlife Trust or find out about volunteering opportunities, visit our Get Involved page.
